"Who got all A's in high school...raise your hands. Alright, how about some A's and some B's? Raise your hand? Who got all D's and F's? Anyone? Okay so, it's just me." A quick way to increase the energy in a room is to ask for people to raise their hands or call out answers. You can also ask them to stand, to vote, to call out answers or work with their neighbors. "Turn to the person next to you and discuss for about 30 seconds some of the reasons people fail to achieve their dreams. Go!"
The result of getting you audience moving is to increase their engagement and pump up the energy in the room. See if you can't work in a few opportunities to get them moving in your next presentation.
